We all know that the human anatomy is not perfect as it looks like. Just as how much it can serve us well, there are times when our body reaches its limit in terms of functioning well. There are times when the parts of our body are damaged. For example, if you have been bumped by a car, your hips might be susceptible to damage especially when the impact is so great that your bones end up being dislocated or much worst, fractured. When this happens, it entails medical attention of extensive scale because this damage could lead to serious threats such as paralysis or the lost of capability to move your body the way you want to. When this happens, you might want to give your self a surviving chance by undergoing procedures such as hip surgery replacement.

Many of us are mistaken for taking for granted salt as one of the main causes of hypertension. No doubt about it, because most of us consider salt as the primary flavoring agent that could be added to give it flavor that caters our taste buds. But most of us are also not aware that salt is dangerous to our health is the level of its intake among humans is very high than the normal level.

Doctors call it gastroesophageal reflux disease or GERD. Millions of people call it heartburn, and many others have coughing, wheezing, or hoarseness without realizing that GERD is to blame. By any name, GERD is common, bothersome, and sometimes serious. But once you know you have GERD, and understand its mechanics, you can control it and prevent complications.
Normal Swallowing
A complex set of 29 muscles in your mouth and tongue gets the process started. They close off your windpipe (trachea) to protect your lungs, and then move the food into your esophagus, or food pipe. The esophagus is a narrow 10- to 13-inch-long tube leading from your throat to your stomach. But food doesn’t just slide down the esophagus. Instead, muscles that encircle the food pipe contract in an orderly wave-like fashion to propel food into the stomach.
Swallowing then is normally a one-way affair. To prevent the food from returning to the esophagus, the ring-like muscles of the lower esophagus pinch the tube closed. Doctors call these muscles the lower esophageal sphincter, or LES (see illustration).

The right of one person involves consequent duties to respect the rights of others. Its exercise must never be misused, especially to the prejudice of another. A right vanishes the moment it is abused. A person is sheltered only when he acts in the rightful exercise of his rights, i.e., he acts with justice, gives everyone his due, and observes honesty and good faith.
Throughout history, patients have relegated their fates and lives to the skill of their doctors. For a breach of this trust, men have been quick to claim justice. Some 4,000 years ago the Code of Hammurabi provided certain forms of punishment for physicians who failed to observe standard care in the exercise of their profession. At present, the primary goal of the medical profession is the protection of life and maintenance of the health of the people. Needless to say then, when a physician drifts from his revered duty and jeopardizes instead the life of his patient, he must be made to answer for any penalty to it or be made to answer compensation claim.
Most of us are fond of eating foods which are salty and also most of us are taking for granted the need for them to monitor their blood pressure. Well then maybe, they should change this attitude before it’s too late.
Salt and High Blood Pressure are acclaimed today as two of the top causes of death globally. They are regarded as silent killers because you think there’s nothing wrong and when in fact with these two health hazards, life and death is just separated by a thin line. If you are one of those who are always taking for granted these two killers, then it is about time you change your lifestyle for you to lessen the tendency of being their victim. Perhaps you can start with your diet. You can lessen or reduce the use of salt in preparing for your foods and you can avoid eating foods which can trigger the rise in blood pressure. Try to eat freshly prepared foods instead of processed food since these are prepared with high content of salt as a preservative agent. It is never too late for anyone of us to take safety precautions against these two silent killers. We just have to take the initiatives to make a difference for our betterment.
Eggs are considered to be the perfect foods that are found in one single cell. Egg has the highest protein content compared to any other food. 12 grams of protein are already found in just two pieces of eggs. More proteins are found in the in the white part of an egg than in the yolk. Nutrients include vitamin A, D, E, B1, B2, B6, and B12, folic acid, minerals such as zinc, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, choline, and biotin. It contains essential fatty acids like linoleic and linolenic. The cholesterol content of an egg should not be feared. The yolk is rich in lechitin, which assists bile from the gallbladder in controlling cholesterol.
Moreover, aside from being nutritious, the concepts of using eggs are now being applied to the field of cosmetics. Dry skin mask is done by adding few drops of fresh milk to a scrambled raw egg yolk and applying it to the face until it dries. Facelift/oil control mask on the other hand is done by adding three drops of lemon on a beaten egg white acts like a natural facelift treatment.
I have read a bulletin stating that “An egg a day keeps the Doctor away.” At first I was hesitant in believing this statement not until I have learned these facts. Though they are simple and small, eggs are indeed mighty.

LONDON (AP) — Two new techniques to preserve and transplant ovaries might give women a better chance to fight their biological clocks and have children when they are older, doctors announced.
In the past, scientists have performed ovarian transplants in women with cancer, since chemotherapy often causes infertility. Doctors typically take out patients’ ovaries before the toxic treatment begins and then re-implant them later.
Because of the cost and uncertainties involved — only a handful has been done successfully — this was thought only worthwhile for women with serious diseases who had few options.

A molecular mechanism in the brain that explains how nicotine alters moods and heightens alertness has been found. Neurobiologists said this mechanism is triggered by nicotine in levels normally found in smokers.
They also said that nicotine causes the brain’s nerve cells to send out a larger-than-normal amount of a substance called glutamate. Glutamate is the key central nervous system excitory transmitter, which means it excites the cells. Researchers said that the large amount of glutamate explains why nicotine can heighten alertness and improve short-term- memory. These findings, they said, may contribute to development of treatments for people addicted to nicotine.
